Choosing between Street, Performance and Track tiers
A short, opinionated guide to picking the right Prysm tier based on how you'll actually drive the car.
Most builders pick more engine than they need. They watch a YouTube video, see a 1,000 hp pull, and decide they need it too. Six months later they're stuck with a build that's miserable to street-drive and too fragile for the track.
Here's how we think about it. The Street tier (STR series) is the right call when most of your miles are on public roads, you want to fit it once and forget about it, and you'd rather have a beautiful idle than a 7,500 rpm shriek. The Performance tier (PRO series) is the answer if you want occasional track or autocross duty, dyno-day bragging rights, and a build that'll keep up with modern performance cars. The Track tier (TRK series) is for people who already know what camber settings they like.
If you're between tiers, drop us a note. We'd rather sell you the right engine once than the wrong engine twice.
