Why we build V8s the way we do
Premium horsepower doesn't have to come with a premium tag. Here's how Prysm engineered cost out without engineering trust out.
When we started Prysm, the conversation around aftermarket V8 power had become noisy with hype and short on substance. Every shop wanted to add another zero to the price tag. We built our shop on a different premise: design choices, supply choices, and process choices that compound to a 10-20% saving without ever compromising the parts that touch oil, fuel, or air.
We source forgings from a partner network that already feeds OEM programs, then re-spec them for our own tolerances. We standardize on three block decks across the catalog, which lets us run longer machining batches and pass that savings directly to you. And we publish every spec sheet, including failure points and known limits, so the customer can size the engine to the build instead of buying the brochure.
None of this is glamorous. None of it gets attention on social media. But it adds up to crate engines that start, run, and last - at a number that lets more people drive what they love.
